Sony DHC-MD5 repaired MD mechanism

My MD stereo suddenly stopped loading MD's, so I had to dissasemble and change the loading belt.Since I was unable to find info about belt diameter needed, I write here for all friends wanting to do the repair by themselves.
Belt is 30mm, but I believe that even 35mm would fit fine.

Hi! It's been 8 years so this might be a long shot but my MD5 does not feed the disc or anything like there is no power. Do you have any ideas how to fix it or what to check? The cd player works fine and if you skip through to MD after selection nothing happens and blank screen. The unit has sentimental value hence wanting to keep. All the best!!

Hi Petar, I just bought DHC-MD5, and although i don't have any minidisc, I hear hum when I choose MD as a source. Is there something wrong with my MD player, or is it normal?
