Something very eerie I noticed about this scene is how it mimics an earlier scene in the film that involves Lorraine brushing Judy’s hair while sitting in the rocking chair, with Bathsheba being the stand-in for Lorraine, and Annabelle being the stand-in for Judy. It’s a very unsettling detail you’ll notice if you really pay attention to the first act of The Conjuring, and is something Annabelle and Bathsheba used on Judy to torment her in this scene.
