We almost got introduced to yet another superhero. Originally, they were throwing around the idea of introducing Captain Britain, and they even approached Jason Statham about portraying the hero. He ended up simply laughing at the idea, and told them that they needed to find someone 15 years younger than him since he was already 47 at the time. Ultimately, they scrapped the idea and rewrote the script.

Damn I would’ve loved Jason as the Captain Britain character. He does have a point of being a little older to the point where they’d have to mostly use a stunt double or cgi. He does a lot of action movies, I personally believe he would’ve been able to do it.

I’m glad he realized he was too old for the role because one of my criticisms for the mcu is that they’re starting to cast WAY too many actors to play heroes in their 40’s when before they got actors in there late 20s early 30s to have them around and in shape long term for the mcu.
