Really can't imagine not laughing a single time at UHF. Michael Richards was so good.

I have no problem at all with UHF. I didn’t take it the slightest bit seriously and I think that is a must for movies like UHF. I laughed a lot.

I got the biggest kick out of Gene’s impish smile after he said “ you were over 20.”

-Sometimes Siskel was missing certain things. Valentino Returns was a low level, B movie version of American Graffiti. But there was a realness to it of a small town kid with his new car, his girl, & the bad situations that kept popping up. It wasn't the greatest movie but I'd rate it a 5 or 6.

I saw UHF when it was released and as one of his biggest fans I was extremely disappointed. The satire in his MTV specials up to that point was very smart and edgy, bordering on nasty. He’s playing way too nice in UHF and the humor is dumbed down in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience. I don’t blame Al…Gene mentions how on point SCTV was, but I guarantee a big-budget movie version of that show would’ve sucked, too.

I can understand critics not getting UHF as it was made for younger people and fans of Weird Al. On that level, it was a huge success.

Can you imagine not laughing "once" at UHF? Siskel & Ebert are soulless ghouls. BTW did Ebert say the old Daffy Duck sounded "just like any other cartoon duck"? WTF. Jeers, S&E, jeers.
