Anyone who was familiar with Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s Locke & Key series of graphic novels might have thought they knew where the Netflix series of the same name was headed in its final episode, but it wasn’t afraid to throw the audience for a loop. The characters actually misjudged the motivations of Dodge, and she was able to infiltrate their lives in a way they weren’t expecting. Things might be happy for the moment, but there is more coming from her in the next season. Let’s take a look at the explanation of the ending of Locke & Key season one.

The thing is when kinsey killed her fear, she became alot meaner and she got obsessed with the keys. I Haven’t watched the whole season yet but my theory is the echo did the same thing, killed her fear and became obsessed with the keys.

Ending was clever but the way it got there was dissapointing, so Ellie has both the key and the crown in her hands and doesn't use it? When they knock her out do they not see that she doesn't have her crown? And they know better than anyone about the face change key yet they didn't think to question if it was even used

This show had potential at first but then it kept showing the kids as nothing but immature typical one-dimensional children who kept losing focus that they wielded power in their hands but were too stupid to appreciate what they had. What did it for me was when the girl used her key to torment a classmate during lunch with revenge and then when this other guy showed up and saw what she was doing, she lets him use the key to continue to tormenting. I was done with this series and didn't care for the characters, not smart, not original, just atypical teen angst crapola.

People are saying the characters are dumb. Well, yeah. To be honest. They kind of are.

But, past that, I think it's good and that the plotholes are going to be filled in season 2. That's what the Umbrella Academy is doing.

Stop calling Echo Dodge. "Dodge" as explained, was Ellie's nickname for Lucas. Lucas was just a skin she used, just like Gabe. She's either nameless, or Echo, a part of a somewhat "Legion" of dark matter.

I could think of a bunch of creative ways to beat Dodge way faster than the Lockes did. They didn't take advantage of their keys as much as they could have.

The only explanation I need is why on earth the season 1 finale sucked so hard. They spent all this time building this mystery then wraps it all up in 5 minutes- very little of the suspense the rest of the season had. Very disapointed in the final episode.
