I love in Crazy Ex when they got a new actor fir Greg and for a few episodes, every other character was like, "does he seem different?" "there's something off about Greg" "wow I didn't even recognize him, it's like he's a whole new person!"

In HS our theater group did the same show chaaracters in new short scripts each week for the elementary classes. One day a student had to leave due to personal reasons and we had a new member. One kid pointed out"a stranger has Hallie's dress on!" And in character (as the loving librarian of Storywood Hollow) i said 'youre right! Hallie had to move but her cousin Basil is here to help us learn and laugh! And they love to style to match! Isnt that so cute that theyre bonded so well?" And the kids believed us. If youre gunna try to "reintroduce" a character, kids will notice and you should plan for that. Our 'fans' noticed "hollie" wasnt "herself" and we had to work on the fly, adding jokes that hollie and basil were "so similar we get you guys confused!" With basils actress picking up with "well we did grow up like sisters!" This actually was cannon becausse hollie always referred to a sister we never showed. So some kids realized the 'sister' was cousin basil.

Its why you should always acknowledge not ignore actor/actress changes(edit for spelling please lmk if any mistakes are made!)

I loved it in Crazy Ex Girlfriend when they did joke about one of the characters being played by a different actor 😂. "He changed so much, he's a completely different actor...I mean in the legal sense of the word"
