One family’s story - supporting diverse families with alcohol and drug concerns

This video is based on a simulated case study of a family from a culturally- diverse background, and their journey of seeking support for alcohol and drug concerns.

It examines and discusses risk and protective factors; and what and how support services work collaboratively to provide wholistic care and support - both for the person with the concern and their family.

This resource was developed by Illawarra CALD Local Drug Action Team. This team is a collaborative of Government, community and culturally- diverse services and community members, that work together to reduce drug and alcohol related harm within our community, and to ensure equity and access for those of diverse backgrounds who experience additional disadvantage.
