Harry deserves the praise. The criticism he got was off the scale. He is more man than most.

Maguire looks much better in a back 3 & deserves his praise for turning it around. Some people have made their mind up & refuse to give credit. These aren’t United fans.

There's two kinds of players. Players like Maguire and De Ligt that take their punches - quite often deservedly so - when they drop the ball. But get back up and keep fighting.

And then there's your Rashfords. Who make it about them, BECAUSE "they don't like me." For godssake, even Fernandes, the best player in that team, gets criticized and he just recalibrates and gets on with it!

You're going to get criticized. That's the nature of football now with all of us keyboard warriors needing to feel relevant.

Just like I'm doing just now.
Just play. Prove people wrong.

I can’t remember a worse refereeing performance than this for a long long time. It was either massively inept or corrupt.

Maguire's criticism came at the end of Ole's time. He was playing alongside Lindelof (mainly) or Bailly in a back 2. He looked slow. His turning circle was the size of a bus. He was all over the place.

However, he was also given the captaincy early on in his United career, and I think that was the incorrect decision. The shirt weighs heavy, let alone the captaincy.

Since he was stripped of the captaincy by Ten Hag, he's got his head down and given 100% every time he's played. His confidence has grown and he's been brilliant for us for a few years now.

But, as he does with England, he looks so much more comfortable in a back 3 as he has 2 others to cover when he steps up into midfield or if the opposition get in behind.

He's first choice now, and I don't think any United fan would criticise the way he's come back and got his head down. I wish Rashford and Sancho would do the same. They'd be better players if they followed Harry Mags.

Arteta is hilarious. Didn't have a shot on target until the red card, they were terrible until she had 2 extra men. Played 60 minutes 12 v 11 and then Dalot got sent off, to make it 10

The criticism was justified. Maguire was a weak link. Credit to Amorim. Also any word on de light ? He has been brilliant

Mental health is a craze people love to go on about....Maguire is a poster boy for being mentally strong given the kak he's had to put up with.

Back 3 suits Maguire, that's why he plays well for England

Unjustified??😂.. Maguire is getting the praise now because he's performing, he was getting criticism because he was underperforming it's very simple.

Give Harry his flowers..he's an utter professional..bounced back.

What criticism? He hasn't been criticized for a year since turning his form around. He was playing badly when he was scrutinized and he has turned his form around. Simple.

I was one of Maguire’s biggest critics a couple of years ago… never boo’d but thought he wasnt good enough and was leading us to concede goals and lose games. But he’s been excellent most of this season, and was immense yesterday. Always happy to accept when I’m wrong, and he deserves a ton of credit for playing his way back in to this level of form. Excellent turnaround

Maybe this system Amorim plays will suit Maguire whereas the Ten Hag system didn't but then how many players improved under Ten Hag's reign.

De ligt is Dutch so won't get any praise

Harry deserved every criticism he got in the past. there were couple of years where he was just bad constantly. amateur level mistakes, own goals. but, he never deserved all the hatred and insults he got. there is a clear difference for me.

I agree, Maguire has been unjustly criticised for years. There was a period at man utd and England, where everything seem to go wrong for him attackers passing him and an own goal etc. but overall he's done well but got used as an escape goat cause the team lost but the heat should have been on other players.
