How to Buy Your First DSLR Camera for Photography and Video
Choosing your first DSLR Camera can be hard if you don't know what to look for and why you need certain features.

If you are buying a DSLR camera for video then you need to also consider audio and make sure it has an audio input jack so you can have a decent microphone. You will also need to consider if it has in camera stabilization and a high ISO range for shooting in low light situations, since noise and grain can impact a video much more than a photo.

If you are buying a DSLR for photography then buying a crop sensor vs full frame becomes an issue. If you are shooting high end work or sports, I would suggest a full frame camera. If you are shooting more casually then a crop sensor camera is fine and more affordable.

This video couldn't have been released with better timing! I'm in the market for a DSLR, as my classes this semester are largely film-based. Never filmed before, I'm excited to take a step into it. I love your videos! Your brand is great and your (unbiased!) knowledge is so valuable. I really appreciate that you are open about different models and don't lean towards any one brand for computers, cameras, etc. As always, I look forward to new content on your channel!

This is a very helpful and professionally made video. I like your speaking speed. Many YouTube either rush too much, or are very choppy in their explanations. Thank you, Mr. Roberto Blake.

I've watched a couple of videos about how to pick a camera, and this is the only one that's been helpful and not overwhelming. So thanks. :)

I actually have been feeling intimidated by this process. I just upgraded my audio, and I'm now eager to get a dslr to upgrade my video too. Thanks for the guide.

I realize that this video is aged but I appreciate the value of the content. Thanks, Roberto, for taking the time to share your expertise on this very frustrating and complex topic. ;-)

You are Just now subscribed to your channel. I am interested in making videos for YouTube where I would be making miniature food items out of polymer clay. Which of the $500 range of cameras do you think would be good for this? I just loved your video - it was SO CLEAR and I love how you spoke so precisely and didn't drag out your comments forever like some YouTubers do. Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

Robert, I've just watched your SEO video and I am so motivated to start implementing the techniques... However, if the videos have been live for a while - will going through and changing tags, titles and descriptions make any difference to ranking and performance?
