Great video, cluster counting is my preferred pip counting method ;o)

Regarding the reference position at the end of your video, I would consider the 3 checkers on the midpoint (13-point) as a reference group since it occurs quite a lot and add 40 the substract 1 (which corresponds to 3*13=39).

Then I would add 40+2 for the 2 Greeen back checkers on the 21-point as you described.

Have you shown your viewers criss-cross counting yet? For middlegame positions, there really is no match for it. It is, like the method in the 321 video, colorless, but the numbers are much lower (mostly single digits).
