what do you think about the ORICO LSDT M2 SSD Case 40Gbps NVME Enclosure? the metal one?

If the case is Thunderbolt 3 and the speed it supports 40Gbps, it should be able support 5000 MB/s read and write (40 Gbps / 8 = 5000 MB/s). Your SSD is 980 PRO which support 7000 MB/s read and 5000 MB/s writes. The test you conducted is not even closed. Something is wrong. Something is definitely wrong. It is either you case does not perform as it said or your SSD does not perform as it said. Please reach out to Orico or Samsung that their claims are fraud.
