2022 FBRL Sony Cup Series: Round 25: Rockingham

For the penultimate round of the championship, the title race hangs in the balance today as the opportunity for Kurtis to seal the title is possible. While it might not be likely D.J. Kurtis walks away with the title today there is still a chance it can happen which is why everyone is tuning in to see what happens for the second to last race of the 2022 Sony Cup Series Season. Many other storylines to follow include the return of Jake Baskinger and Dom Caps... Baskinger entered Homestead with a 61 point advantage in the title with all the points and the position to win a champion but then... everything changed when the fire nation attacked Jesse Turner left reared Baskinger straight into the wall at incredible speeds. After missing Martinsville, Baskinger and Caps are back while Shelly continues to sit out. Baskinger now enters as the most likely driver this afternoon of keeping this title decider open heading to Atlanta. Jake Baskinger needs a recovery drive today to pull back some ground on Kurtis to give him a good enough shot in the finale next week to take his 2nd title. Kurtis Racing won last week with Jeffery White, and now Cody Llamas will lead the field to green as he searches to give Kurtis Racing back to back wins.
