I have collected many Star Wars books( original trilogy, Han Solo trilogy and the SW Legends) After TLJ i no longer bother to buy or read anymore SW books cause fat face Johnson and Trash Kennedy kill my love for star wars

It’s amazing how much weight and impact the Star Wars brand had. I never bought the “regular” Star Wars toys, like the ones shown and discussed in these videos, I played with the Star Wars legos. But, even the legos have been getting less excitement lately (this is hearsay as I don’t buy legos anymore). When nobody cares about your characters, nobody will want to buy merchandise based on them. Oh look, I have Rey, who has everything, including her massive, unexplained power given to her on a silver platter. I have Poe Dameron, the wise cracking, reckless, (recently emasculated) pilot, who has no personality deeper than “Imma hero. I don’t like the bad dudes.” I own Finn, the cowardly, pathetic comedic relief character who switched sides for literally no reason. And finally I own Rose Tico. Memes aside, the most useless, worthless, shallow blob of a character I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing in a movie as big as Star Wars. One of the things that made Star Wars so great was how the characters resonated with you. The new characters need to dump on the old ones to gain any significance, and even then, they fail, like in every other endeavor they take part in. Rest In Peace, Star Wars. You once gave us what we didn’t even know we needed, and now you give us what we know we don’t want.

Your first Star Wars toy video was what made me find this channel. It was very scary to see Star Wars merchandise rotting on the shelves when just a couple years earlier it was flying off the shelves. What was really crazy was that those toys were selling even while there was no sign of a new Star Wars film on the horizon, just the Clone Wars. My brother worked in retail stocking and he told me the Star Wars toys never moved. There is stuff from 2015 that has been on the shelves for like 3 years. It pretty much confirmed my fears about the health of Star Wars under Disney, even before The Last Jedi came out.

The mass production of these figures contributes to the lack of appeal. They simply produced too much of everything. On top of that, it's a big turn off to see figures in all different scales...even goofy looking figures in all scales. The fan senses this cash grab and backs away intuitively.

How sad. I feel terrible for Hasbro employees. I work for a Detroit automaker so i can relate to what they are going through. I hope to God that they can get back to work soon and maintain company viability with some kind of toy line. Just sucks that Disney holds so many of their cards. Sucks that Disney can't see the forest for the trees. The fans are transmitting, but they cut the hardline to the reciever. Great video. Good to have a laugh amidst the gloom.

Guys, I am not too much on Toys, BUT I build model kits since the 70's.
And there is now this amazing line of SW models from the japanese company BANDAI .
Now, a fun fact I never see mentioned here is that there are pratically NO models from TLJ .
As if the japanese knew the movie was shit and the models would not sell .
Btw, the new model on their line is the B-Wing, from ROTJ .

Here in Australia it's the same thing. There are rows of Vintage Collection with Snoke, Rey, FO Stormtrooper and Ren. I've been a collector of this line since Kenner and right throughout the prequels too. In all that time l never saw a clone trooper pegwarm the way l see the First Order Stormtrooper lined up on the pegs. He's everywhere and for the first time in my life, l don't feel compelled to buy them at all. I guess others must feel the same way.
