@JamesReadythe5th Shelby Mustangs were built in a factory next to LAX airport from 1965-1967, then production shifted over to Ford in Michigan. Shelby Mustangs were basically souped up Mustang GTs with different styling and performance.

@JamesReadythe5th Yes, the Shelby Mustang was built on the Ford assembly line, then they were sent to Shelby American in California. Carroll Shelby had a contract with Ford at that time. The cars were completely gone through and the Shelby cosmetic and performance modifications made. They were even issued their own specific Shelby V.I.N. numbers. KR stands for King of the Road. Chevy was originally going to get the name for the Camaro but Carrol Shelby copyrighted it a day sooner.

What is the price tag on a Shelby GT500 classic, I'm thinking of the ones that are gone through by Shelby himself (I'm trying to find my dad a classic car he wants a "new" one) thanks!

Always loved the gauges in the Mustangs and the Chargers. the 68 GT500 was a pig (14.2 @102mph) but they didnt realize what theyd be competing against in 68 with all the Hemi's and 440's, 340's 383's 396 427 etc. A better move would have been to put the 427 side oiler into this ride or a ramped up small block.

Love the car but if I owned it and I had money I would strip the interior, put sparco seats, aluminum dashboard and upgrade the mechanics like replacing the engine for the engine in the 2013 Shelby and so on lol
