It is actually brilliant! There is definitely a lot of truth to this.

Recently I was told a story about an admin assistant in a local college, who has long lists of enrolled students and associated data, all in Excel workbooks. In order to track things *properly*, she prints the worksheets, tapes them together in very long "sheets", rolls them over the floor and tracks those students and their courses with a marker pen! As long as it works...

These days I remind myself *not* to excel. Just keep grinding, slow and steady. Do not be the smartest guy in the room!
