For anyone wanting to make their own treats remember thst cats are obligate carnivores so in most cases you can skip things like rice and flour and sub vegetable oils for samon oil as it is good for their coat and health :)

I have a cat with kidney disease and the homemade churu with boiled chicken is sometimes all that she can stand to have. Great recipe, and great for hydration!

I'm sure you know this already, but for those who don't, catnip is a part of the mint family. It's not only safe for cats and humans alike, but it acts as a natural mosquito repellent and is delicious to boot! It has similar qualities as chamomile when you make it into tea (or at least it does for me). It's also hardy; it's pretty much the only plant in my garden that hasn't actually died yet 😭

Speaking from experience, the older cats become the pickier they get with new food and textures, so don't feel to bad about the two treats that didn't work out!

I know the feeling of shopping in the baby food isle for your cat. When my fur baby was sick he stopped eating anything, the ONLY thing he’d eat was chicken or turkey baby food 😂

I looked it up because apparently my cat is probably 15 this year (rescue, multiple owners), and apparently the first two years of a cat's life = 24 years then every year is 4 years after, so Joobie would be 68 in 'human years'. Such a distinguished old lady! <3

Watching this while my gremlin nudey cat stares at me offendedly because he's not allowed treats after knocking down his treat canister and eating all of them in one go a few days ago (he went to the vet; he's okay, just a bad boi)

so, i have a suggestion
we give our ferrets salmon oil, it's a treat + diet addition for cats and there's also a dog version right
but god our ferrets love it, maybe putting some of that into these treats could help it!
this was hilarious and so fun to watch, we love seeing joobie get the queen treatment she always deserves!!

When measuring flour, you should spoon it into the measuring cup, and lightly tap so it's flat. If you scoop right from the bag it'll often pack down the flour in the cup, causing more flour than needed and ending up your dough being dryer, giving it a more floury taste. I learned that in my cooking class in high school. it even helps save on flour a little since it can be kinda messy.
