Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, held a news conference Thursday after New York City Mayor Eric Adams was indicted on federal charges of bribery, wire fraud and soliciting illegal campaign donations. Adams spoke after the indictment was unsealed, asking New Yorkers "to wait to hear our defense before making any judgments."
