And also probe whether a £5 billion splurge on infrastructure really amounts to a Rooseveltian “New Deal” for Britain.

Dominic Raab will be in the Commons at lunchtime to deliver a formal UK response after China’s sweeping Hong Kong security laws came into force last night.

The foreign secretary will make a statement to MPs after PMQs setting out the government’s “grave concern” at Beijing’s latest crackdown on democratic rights in Hong Kong.

FCO staff have been working through the night to assess the full implications of the laws published yesterday evening, and Raab is under pressure to set out a suitably forthright response.

Right, I’m not a labour supporter but Boris constantly utilises big numbers and statistics that have no important meaning outside the little bubble he creates for them. Saying there’s 113, 000 when that’s only 1/4 of the number needed means absolutely nothing when you consider the fraction, of 1/4. I don’t care if it’s 113, 000 or 2, 000. We have a big population. Of course the number will be big. Until Boris stops resting, relying and rallying up support by reinstating huge irrelevant statistics, I’m not going to trust him to be actually focusing on the important figures at play.

I got a question i would like to ask Boris Johnson. Why is he still allowing illegal migration across the English channel, when we voted for him to stop it? Me personally feel very let down by him and his party. Nigel Fararge needs to reform the Brexit party, then we can finally vote the Tories out for good. Starmer is dull, with no sense of delivery. His key points are utterly contradictory ... lockdown towns and cities where there are positive tests for covid-19 whilst claiming he is concerned about jobs. Sorry, but you cannot have both, Sir Keir Starmer! Closing businesses will cause unemployment. Besides, if Sir Keir Starmer gave all the stats on Leicester, he would note that the ratios of infection in Leicester were already moving back downwards and that the business community of Leicester were dead set against the local lockdown.
