I'm very glad to see something like this, since they nerfed the weapon training methods it's hard to skill up. Block was the hardest to train for me. I use block as early as I can and usually only get to level 30 by end game with run and jump in the 90s. Awesome, thanks fellas!

Just built this on my xbox version and can confirm still works (as of Jan 15th 2024) and works a treat i might add, even tho ive only just got 3 skellies in it at moment to test it, just gotta build a comfort area an raid proof it then il be running more skellies in. My block skill has gone up just building the thing. So thank you guys! :)

I have found though, where ive had to build my skelly room above ground as im close to water level the skellies can get distracted by mobs outside their new home, so have had to make a perimeter of workbenches/campfires around the place and with stakewalls to keep the random Necks, Greylings and even Boars away as they start going for each other and not me.

This would be good to use after hard core events where a lot of deaths decrease skill levels. Great design for it!

This is Cool. We do the same thing with Draugr spawners in the villages to train out hand weapons in the same way

My method for skill block training was finding a draugr village and leaving the spawners. They hit really hard and level up your blocking relatively quickly and it's double useful for farming entrails. Might need to build a wall to isolate the spawners if you're getting overwhelmed though. The archer skeleton method seems a lot easier though.

I have an early one where i dig hole in the meadows and parry necks into hole. Fence them up and jump into the pit. Position yourself in way where your character’s back to corner. Now rebind your block and back. Use an object hold said two button then afk. Its slower of course ( depending on how necks you can get) but get to afk

I've built a couple of these and they do work wonderfully, but I believe I have a superior option- Instead of digging a hole in a neighboring biome to put this in, use raised earth to build the walls in the swamp itself close (but not too close) to a skeleton spawner and fill in the floor and roof as per the video. This needs less time to find a suitable location (which can be surprisingly difficult sometimes otherwise), takes less time to lure skeletons from the spawner to fill it up, and most importantly nothing in the swamp is aggro to skeletons (and vice versa) so your skeletons never get distracted by passing critters as they do in other biomes. Its embarrasing if a grey dwarf comes by and stands on the roof and your skeletons start trying to blast through the roof to get at it, and you have to stop what youre doing to go outside and kill the silly things so your skeletons get back to work shooting at you. The only other difference is that you'll need to build some stairs so you can lure the skeletons onto the roof to push them into the trainer. Just remove one of the stair pieces once you have however many skeletons you want so nothing can wander in from the next door biome and get on your roof.
And for the love of god, dont build this in the plains because sooner or later a lox WILL find it and crush the skeletons flat right through the walls/ceiling with its stomp attack. :P

finally got around to building this. works like a charm. Never though't i'd see 100 block. my shield is now 35% more effective and i feel that much safer in mistlands lmfao.

One big question: when training sneak does having multiple enemies about increase your sneak skill faster? or does it not matter whether your sneaking around 1 enemy or 50 enemies?
Would this also double as a sneak trainer?
