In the previous segment on Black August, BNC honored the legacy of freedom fighters.

There are two other Black celebrations in August called Black Philanthropy Month and Black Business Month. Black Philanthropy Month is about charity and giving to people of African descent around the world. Black Business Month recognizes Black-owned businesses around the country.

The goal of these celebrations is to build a better future for Black Americans.

Kat Bloomfield, founder and CEO of Arts Business Collaborative, joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss Black Philanthropy Month and Black Business Month.

All this and more on “Black News Tonight.”
