Inventing success together
We began the project as an eight. First off, we started a creative workshop. Various solution approaches were created in numerous brainstorming sessions.  After two months there were 27 different solutions on the table, of which, after a critical evaluation, two were
expedient. For each of these two plausible models, 15 variants were consequently created. And now the great thing about SFS: in no time at all we were able to produce and test 30 prototypes in house.

After all, such a drilling fastener is made up of up to twenty work steps. We worked hand in hand with production; everything took place quickly and under realistic conditions.

It was our goal to increase the pull out values. Increasing the diameter of the screw was surely the easiest way. The asymmetrical thread can also be recognised with the naked eye, but what’s happening on the micro-millimeter level is unique – and now
patented. We have actually managed to make the thread geometry in such a way that a single SXC5 can compete with the added pull out values of several conventional drilling fasteners.”
