What is Geranium? Pelargonium or Rose Geranium are similar and the leaves go through a steam distillation process to extract and make the Geranium Oil for usage in perfumery. Sometimes the oil is also used for health reasons as well. The smell of the Geranium is very green, grassy, minty, herbal, and aromatic but it also has rosy nuances. I also get very peppery, spicy qualities from Geranium.

I geranium!!! I fell in love with it when I first used it in my essential oil diffuser. My ultimate favorite essential oil smell. I put some in my Dyson filter, it improves the vacuuming experience significantly. Geranium and rose together is my favorite association in fragrance.

Sebastian, I bought a bottle of Equipage Geranium this summer at the Hermes store on Madison and I think its the best purchase I made in 2020. Just a great scent, agreeable. Elevates my mood. And in 2020 I need that!

I am on my fourth bottle of Fougere Royale, which I love to death. Wear it everywhere. But I am a fougere beast; there aren't many fougeres I don't love.

I'm with you on the lemony tinge Sebastian. I used to grow geraniums in my garden and the flower basically had no scent. It was the leaves that had that sharp metallic greenness similar in the way basil leaves contain their characteristic odorant (eugenol among others) in the basil plant. This is what confused me long ago when reviewers touted 'violet' as the major contributor to the petrol-type odour in Fahrenheit edt when it was obviously the violet leaf. Don't know why the 'geranium' note hasn't been changed to 'geranium leaf' or given a completely different moniker like petitgrain from the bitter orange tree, but I suppose we may see that in time. Vetiver Geranium from Creed definitely one of the best white shirt fragrances out there!

It is very interesting to me how in different videos you have a very different vibe. Sometimes you talk more slowly and perhaps look a bit tired (not sure if I'm interpreting this wrong but that's just my impression) and then there are videos where you are very exited and cheerful like in this one. The Diptyque Gerarium Odorada smells pretty like a glass of sprite or lemon soda. The smell is so fresh and relaxing.

Got a decant of Creed Vetiver Geranium. Not a pepper or rose fan but on your review, had to see how good it is. I finally found a black pepper and floral fragrance I don't mind wearing. It's very nice!

My favorite perfume with geranium is Love Kills, Masque Milano. It has a lot of rose and rose like ingredients. I love rose geranium. Geranium is a fun plant. Chocolate geranium is cool as well. Straight up geranium is a minty, lemony smell. It’s a great antiseptic as well.

I just blind bought Equipage Geranium. I like it, and similarly to Bel Ami Vetiver, it's a grower (meaning not "instantly obvious" on the first sniff). I sampled Fougere Royale and had high hopes for it but was quite disappointed at the overt sweetness.
