His death was similar to Janis Joplin in that the package going around at the time was way too pure even for a seasoned junkie. The night Vicious died, someone (I think I was one of the guys from Fear) bought smack off of the same dealer, and he overdosed and barely survived. The night Joplin died, it was said that at least three other people died from heroin overdoses the same night. That's what is so fucked up about heroin is you never know the purity of the stuff you are getting so even if your dealer says "hey this stuff is really pure" and you inject half the amount you usually use you still might be injecting enough smack to kill a horse. This is why it is so easy to overdose on heroin.

If you watch Sid's solo videos, he comes across as a real artist. And he really isn't that bad of a singer.

Gone but not forgotten.. rip Vivienne! I used to live on Nightgale lane in Clapham for a number of years in the 90’s were Vivienne lived.. She was such a lovely lady, always smiled and said morning, afternoon etc if she saw you. So down to earth.. and I always loved her crazy style!😂

I can still see her now tottering along in those huge platform shoes. I have to admit though, she was a short woman, five foot nothing so I guess she felt she needed them! 😀

He wasn't particularly talented and was a junkie to boot, and was floored by Paul Weller, but his dysfunctional life became a sort of performance art, that earned himself and Nancy becoming tragic icons of the Nihilistic punk movement 🇬🇧🎸🇬🇧

20yrs after he died, his mother told someone that she shot him up with a lethal dose knowing it's a lethal dose. She said she did it because she didn't want to see him go through prison again. What a good mother.

Look at BETTE MIDLER FOR Nancy Spundgen and her hubby was Sid and still is
