Let's talk about Seizures

🍃 From a Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine standpoint, seizures are a disorder of Wind, which causes shaking (think of the leaves on the trees during a windstorm).

🟢 Wind can be internal or external. Internal Wind may be generated from an imbalance in the body, most commonly in the Liver. This makes sense, since Liver is the element of Wood, which is the season spring and the color green (trees/leaves). Any treatments will be directed at balancing the liver, but may also include treatments for kidney, heart, Yin, Yang, Blood, and Qi.

For the last 3 years, i quit giving my Schipperke Heartworm pills once a month. I'd rather have her tested for Heartworm at the end of summer, plus where I'm at, there are not many mosquitos. I have an older vetenarairan, and he's not all about jabbing my dog once a year with vaccines, too. Also, I dont take her to a dog park. You never know what they spray their lawns with !! Thank you, Doctor Judy Morgan. 😇

One of my cats was having seizures which was probably due to exposure to certain flea sprays and stress. They would last for about 25 seconds. I remember a CBD Oil company showing a baby having a seizure and one dose the seizure would stop within 15 seconds or less. So I had a little bit left from a purchase for me, it was about 3 years old since I bought it, and would give My-Ya a single drop on my finger and rub it on her gums. Her seizures became a lot less and finally just stopped about 2 months taking it 1 or twice a day. I have bought other brands since and stocked up on different kinds and they all seem to work the same, but just a drop on the finger (10lb female cat) and rub it on the gums. She has other positive benefits from the CBD oils. Also, I would read the comments from other customers and some have expressed success also with their pets.

I noticed a lot of huskies get seizures. Not sure if that is genetic or something related to the liver? Can you do a video of breed specifics if that is a thing?

Any recommendations? My dog has been throwing up after taking his triflexis. I’ve stopped giving it the last month. However, I do unfortunately live in a state with lots of bugs and mosquitoes. I have been trying a natural flea spray it’s working. However I’m concerned about heartworm. Is heart guard better than giving the combo triflixs? Any safer alternatives? He hasn’t had a seizure but I’m so concerned. I don’t want to give the medication. But it is concerning living in the states where the risk is higher.

My dog started having seizures after just one stressful situation. After that he got even worse. No tick/heartworm meds, no vaccinations, and yet he's so sick :( His liver previously was fine, but now, on Pheno - his liver also went bad. Uhhh :(
