Dear Sir, I see you make videos about creating SaaS products. I had an idea to solve employee productivity problems. I have been working feverishly on it for weeks now suddenly to realize that there is already a page that already implemented my idea exactly as I had envisioned. They are years ahead of me in terms of man hours, and they already have customers. Should I continue to build my idea or just give up and use theirs? Try ti find a niche within? I had questions like these coming into this video and after watching found my answer :O

Hey Rob I need your help. I am from a medical background and have technical co-founders, but obsessed with building a B2B SaaS startup. My biggest issue is lack of real insight. I have multiple failed startups as of now as the problems my startups solved weren't that important for the prospects.

Hence I tried to ask B2B companies directly what issues are they facing for which they wish there was a solution. And the reply is "You need to be really specific with your question so I can answer your question". So I can't even get the insight I need to solve a burning problem for them.

A lot of the sections in the pie (see 1:03) assume I know an existing audience or potential end customer. But how do I find or poll such an audience in the first place?

Do you have a list of questions to ask business owners to identify pain points? How do I send you a message?

Talking about poor products taken over because large corp could not keep up.
WebEx (java based and Cisco owned, did not update to new technology) or Skype (acquired by Microsoft) in contrast a startup named Zoom took over a big portion video conferencing even in a later stage.
