The reason why Pantalone keeps his eyes closed in the trailer is actually because he refuses to look at people poorer than him

If Baizhu and Pantalone are related, I think Pantalone wouldn't like Baizhu because if they were supposedly brothers he may have been upset that Baizhu got a vision and he didn't. Also Baizhu practically thwarting pantalones plans of assassinating that old man definitely set some sort of rivalry there. The ring and the thing on Pantalone's jacket looks a lot like a snakes eyes!!

I think it's very interesting.., as well as the fact that Changsheng (the snake) has human eyes while Baizhu has snake eyes. What is up with that? Why the snake has his eyes? And why every time they show us the snake in the game they make sure to zoom in on his head with human eyes?

My theory is that they are brothers
Both were in poverty

One chased after attaining visions and tried to get out of said poverty
And another didnt care abouy visions and pursued his passion

Somehow baizhu somehow got into a risky situation, and saved changsheng, and got awarded by a vision

Whilst pantalone, did everything hr could to attain said thing, and despite all of bis achievments, didnt get a vision

Thus why he is spiteful and salty about not getting one, and would perfectly make him liyuean, which has ties to money

What if pantalone is baizhu's snake

My theory:

They are twins, Pantalone hate Baizhu for some reason so he hurt him so badly and it caused his serious illness.

For physical similarities, there's also an accessory hanging off Baizhu's jacket/top that resembles the fatui insignia, like the ring on Regrator's finger. Pantalone also has a ring that reminds me of the geo symbol (possibly a reference to Liyue or the Northland bank)??

i believe they brothers or twins, maybe the reason pantalone grew up poor is cause any money the family did have would be used to try and get medicine for baizues illness

he’s also known as the regrator and i don’t know if you remember but in the liyue archon quest, you and zhongli ask to purchase a type of incense and baizhu charges you 3 million mora. Child later appears and speaks to baizhu, he says it’s an honour to talk to the DR and suggests a collaboration between the fatui and bubu pharmacy which baizhu accepts. i highly recommend going back and watching/listening to all of baizhus lines and cutscenes, definitely food for thought!
edit: he also has many snake motifs, and in the Bible and Christianity serpents represent deception and evil, which is worth note, considering genshin takes inspiration from lots of different religions and cultures. Christianity being one of them.

What if, baizu uses a delusion. Because pantalone doesn’t have a vision. And it’s said that baizu had some kind of illness, and a delusion makes you Ill as well.

I know this may be a bit too stupid but let's remember that in zhonglis quest Baizhu dosent seems to have any kind of dislike to the fatui like other liyue characters, this when child ask Baizhu to make a deal over the coconut milk, if fact we may asume they get a deal that may benefit both partys in different ways. I think is to much but just in case xd

Baizhu and Changsheng seem to be based on the Chinese legend of the white and green snake. The legend itself has a lot of different versions so it's hard to tell which one they could be referencing from, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pantalone ends up related to that legend in some way too. Another thing that comes to mind is some kind of body/soul swap, since Dottore has clones and Marionette can build cyborgs, maybe there was some switcheroo between Baizhu, Changsheng and Pantalone or Pantalone is a zombie/Baizhu proxy...? Idk, either way I can't wait to play Baizhu, he piqued my interest from his debut, the moment I get my hands on him he'll be triple crowned and never leaving my party.

Being one of Dottore's segment makes more sense than being one with Pantalone just because of physical features and mad drive. Since both Dottore and Baizhu are doctors and are somehow connected to dendro. In addition, with Dottore conducting experiments on Collei as Baizhu studying Qiqi. Dunno. But just saying and my idea is non-canonical though. Lol. Aside from that, when someone in Liyue is ill, it is Baizhu afterall who's responsible to heal them cuz he's the known doctor in Liyue. So him being there on the quest to take out the poison to Qixing gramps is only natural.

I have a feeling that Ill Dottore might have made a clone of the Regrator who is now known as Baizhu. It makes sense since Pantalone and Ill Dottore work closely together so he might involve Pantalone into his experiments.
