The worst drought in 40 years - a catastrophic situation in the Horn of Africa

18.4 million people are facing severe hunger in the Horn of Africa following poor rainfall since 2019. The region is now facing a catastrophic drought which is the worst it has experienced in 40 years. UNHCR needs 42.6 million dollars to provide desperately needed emergency assistance.
