Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this. This song single-handedly exemplifies why Dear Evan Hansen is one of my favorite musicals—I just relate to it so much. If I ever get married, this song will somehow make it into my wedding—my vows, the wedding playlist, something—because Evan’s verse will always tap into the deepest part of me. The well of emotion you don’t even know is there.

Being there to listen to this live must have been AMAZING, and I am so thankful that I could live vicariously through you and have another version of one of my favorite songs to listen to.

Thank you for capturing this! I was lucky enough to go see DEH in January 2017 right after they moved to Broadway. I saw them perform this live and cried so hard then and seeing them reunite to sing this now made me sob again. I've heard many versions of this song and while I love them all, Ben and Laura's voices just mix so well and it's magical. Nothing compares to the original singers for me.

This is just wow.... I was so exited for the movie version of dear evan hansen in 2021. Only thing was Ben platt you could tell did not look 17 anymore. But now with the wicked movie just around the corner with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Derivo, this is theater kid musical history
