Long before Echo Park Lake’s homeless encampment became a public safety issue, LA Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell was identifying and creating potential housing solutions for Council District 13.

They should have just built an apartment type building instead of tiny houses. The land is expensive, and you could always expand the building up. The more residents, the more floors they build.
Also apartments have stricter building standards, and would get more maintenance.
I know for a fact that those small houses won’t get renovated for the next 50 years and will probably kill a couple people due to structure issues later in its life span.

Why not give them mental treatment as well. And then you can also treat their drug and alcohol addiction. Without those giving vagrants free housing doesn’t mean a thing.

The real issue with the homeless is millions of people who arent from the usa destroyed the economy in los Angeles..all of the money that was intended to solve the homeless crisis in America now goes to supporting the 9 children people have that come here from other countries...the millions of illegals naturally sends the rent thru the roof for apartment leasing and homes have become unafforadable as a result in LA..these folks will have 15 people living in a 2 bedroom home with our tax dollars paying for it...but we aren't allowed to talk about that...

what a waste of space, these tiny homes will work for like 30 people lololol each have a seperate ac unit too? DUMB
thats fucked up there is of homeless people.
they should have made a connecting unit, stack two levels, and get more of these people off the streets. i wonder how will they pick and choose who gets a home?
