This was the World's Most Advanced Human-like Robot, until Tesla dropped a new viral video.

So in May 2023, Tesla released an robot update that shocked the world. Because for the last 7 months, people made fun of the Tesla bot. But now, no one's laughing. Tesla's revealed 3 achievements that make this the world's most advanced humanoid robot.

And the last, has people worried.

At number three we have the walking. The Tesla looks like it crapped its pants, but it can do something Boston Dynamics can't. Exploring, and memorising new environments.

At number 2 we have the training. The Tesla can learn new tasks from a human. Which some might think is not impressive. Until you realise Boston manually programs tasks. All those QR codes you see in Boston's videos, are for guiding robots to do a preset task.

At number 1 we have the army. We've never seen more than 2 Atlas robots in 1 video. Because manufacturing is hard. But Tesla's showed off 5 robots in 1 video. That's why...

mas production means that there is a dedicated assembally line of sorts. Tesla most likley does not have one of those. They need to prototype and itirate so making a dedecated assembly line for one itiration doesent make sense. Bosten dynamics does also have cutting edge exploration (spot robot) that just hasent been transfered into atles. as for hard coding actions; bosten dynamics uses qr codes other wise known as april tags. like the video said, the qr codes are there to guide the robot BUT this does not mean that they will stay there. If you look at spots progression, it is no longer using tags. correct me if im wrong but bosten dynamics is just itiriating on its controll system more that acctually implementing "tasks." bosten dynamics is able to achive movments that are magnitudes greater of compl;exity than tesla.
