Back with the BF 110, a recreation of the historic raid from the R.A.F. to german battleships harbors. The two swarms were lead by Falcke latter to become the Kommodore of the first night fighter wing ever to exist, and Schumacher the beam attack expert. 109 ds from JG1 lead by Steinhoff also took part in the melee.
I find out that beam attacks on the Wimpeys were pointless: their geodetic airframe can take thousands of rounds. So i went for dead six, well aimed, mid range long bursts of the 4 mgs to knock out the rear gunners and then iginite their fuel tanks. It worked they seemed more like flying torches...got eight and the entire enemy flight was wiped out. Even worse than the real raid, itself a disaster.

I think this version of IL2 is better than the new one's. Wish I had the skills to update it with all the mods.
