Thank you so much for the helpful video. I just question for Q2 part b), I solved algebraically and got a=+/-3. How would I deduce that a=-3? 3:46

This is beautifully presented, really nice work thank you. It's good enough that I can send my students the link and ask them to work through it to review their mock paper and save an hour of lesson time. Lovely.

One small point, Question 4(f) the MS states that if the students answer is 1.4-1.6 they must conclude the model is good, but if it is significantly different they must conclude the model is not a good model. On this basis, I think that the model giving an answer of 1.71 is bad. Do you have any further insight which suggests that '1.71 is close to 1.5 so the model is good' would achieve the mark?

11:21 what do you mean by "type into your calculator"? We're not allowed to bring calculators that can do algebraic manipulation.
