Celebrating the ancient pagan Celtic festival of Samhain, ‘The Haunted Wood’ ('Coill na Taibhse' in Gaelige) is a playful reworking of a traditional Irish jig by the same name.
Drawing on the origins of the tune, Eimear created this amusing text of unearthly images that might be found in a dark woods at Samhain: A white crow, a blind owl, a searching shadow, all ultimately dancing to the wild flames of Tlachtga’s bonfire on the Hill of Tara.

Oiche Shamhna (Samhain Night) is the night when the portal to the other world is fully open, and the connection with all spirits is believed to be possible. This ancient festival became known worldwide as Halloween.

A talent that hasn't faded at all over the last 30 years, this is wonderfully peaceful and I need not understand a word to enjoy it ❤
