ways to remember how many carbons in each alcohol.
"ME"thanol :me means I which is 1
"ET"hanol : ET is a movie with a boy who has an alien friend (2 of them in total)
"PRO"panol : remember pro has 3 letters so 3 carbons
"butanol" : remember as "BUT A FOUR (PRONOUNCE LIKE beautiful)
"PENT"anol : pentagon has 5 sides
"HEX"anol : hexagon has 6 sides.
