This is great and I hope it doesn't change but if the DCU takes off enough, it likely will be forced to go down Marvel's route in order to have a consistent flow of movies.The MCU in it's starting days had everything mapped out for Phase 1 leading up to the avengers. The whole events of Iron Man 2, Thor, the Defrosting of Cap, and Incredible Hulk, all happened within the same week canonically proving that there was a lot of coordination for Phase 1. But afterwards, they had to start doing what they do now and greenlighting a lot of projects so that there's always a conveyor belt of movies. However, Feige learned after the disaster of a lot of Phase 4 and 5 projects to keep the projects on a tighter leash and focus on quality over quanitity. If WB doesn't interfere, Gunn can do the same thing.

We DC comics fans have been eagerly watching everything about the next Superman film and we’re super hyped. I have high hopes for it. No director or co-CEO has had the relationship he’s had with comics. He got tons of writers and artists on set (Mark Waid, Joshua Williamson, Scott Snyder and so many more), the Supergirl film is a direct adaptation of a comic (Tom King’s Woman of Tomorrow), he constantly recommends and shouts out comics and comics creators when possible and he’s highlighted tons of source material for the film. Here’s hoping the DCU is a success.
