I actually have the Ed Sullivan show video in my music playlist. I know this song so well and have sung it so many times I didn’t even realize he now sings “hand” in this video. Absolutely was hands!

It actually looks like in the video he says hands, he does sing hand audio, but watch his lips. Looks like hands might have been said there, but now ME changed it to hand. BUT it was Hands. He was my mother's favorite singer and I heard his songs all my "growing up" life. Hundreds of times. So...Hands for sure, 100% on this one. Thanks Hazel. This one brought back pleasant memories of childhood, long before any ME's (I'm 63). I first noticed them in 2015 (Jiffy). I was in from a hitch offshore (oilfield) and bought the same peanut butter I've eaten my whole life and wondered (as I drank a cold beer) WHY and WHEN they changed Jiffy to Jif....Googled for this information and WHAT? Never was Jiffy? Bullsh!t!!!....and down the rabbit hole I went. Been a strange trip ever since, and things just keep getting weirder. I mean things were changing in 2015, sure, but looking back now in 2024, 2015 seems very far away. A lost (still, by and large) "normal" time and the beginning of a Totally different (not normal at all) world. And it seems someones foot is on the "crazy" accelerator. It's been a loonnng ride. Maybe not connected to this change but at beginning of the event 4 years ago they wanted to ban this song due to spreading in UK.
Of course I sang to my hearts content.

What a great song, and I'm sure he sang 'hands'.
This whole ME thing started for me in 2014 with the Ford logo change, but I also noticed that people had changed.
The way people reacted to things and some of the strange ideas people were believing.

Fast forward to today when a man is named 'woman of the year' and we're not allowed to say there are only two se*es.
Young people are spouting marxist propaganda and wearing braids in your hair is cultural misappropriation.
There is no way this insanity was a natural evolution from the previous decades. It's as if some kind of mind virus afflicted half the population.
