TRUE LOVE STORY! My husband and I were neighbors for several years. We saw each other in passing but were both kind of shy. One evening I was walking my dog and he was outside on his balcony. He got the courage to shout to me asking "If you could listen to any song right now, what would you choose?" I stopped for a moment and looked at my playlist and after having just heard this song, I told him "Crystalized by Young the Giant!" I shyly walked away and then heard him playing it a few minutes later. It was sort of awkward trying to ignore him playing this when I thought about how intense the lyrics were.."when the beat of my heart..." But to this day as a married couple three years later we sit in our beautiful backyard listening to this song and argue over who really asked who on the first date after he broke the ice with that question. 🥰💕😍🎵❤️

I remember discovering the Jakes when I was in high school, back in 2008 or 2009 from some website called PureVolume. I immediately fell in love. I kept up with them my first few years in college, when they became Young the Giant and put out their first album.

When they released their second album, it had been a few years later and I hadn't listened to them for a while. I was actually hesitant to ever listen to it because I was afraid that it wouldn't be as good as the original album that I always knew and loved.

So many years later, now in 2023, I randomly thought of them and looked them up to see that they have several more albums now. I actually listened to this one and man...I have missed out on so much over the past decade. So glad to see they blew up and became big.
