Note: Squeaks stopped. My fault, I didn't install the "washers". :p in my defense, the instructions are in Chinese and its not clear when to use these small little circle things. I can see others forgetting to put these in as well.

Episode 192x85x21 - Sihoo M57 first impressions

Recently bought this chair from TWU and I must say it is quite comparable to our office chair which is an HM Aeron especially when you don't lock the tilting mechanism and tighten the recline tension knob that can be seen underneath of the chair. About the headrest, it takes time for you to get the sweet spot or the right positioning. For its price, it is bang for the buck imo.

Here's my personal comparison of the two chairs:

Herman Miller Aeron (60, 000 to 80, 000 php):
Comfort - 9/10 (some people prefer foam type)
Durability - 10/10 (built like a tank)
Aesthetics - 9/10

Sihoo M57 w/ footrest (9, 000 - 10500 php):
Comfort - 7/10 (i wish the lumbar support has more padding as i can feel the hardness of the plastic. Also takes time to adjust for new owners that were used to foam cushion. The mesh is not that soft and comfortable compared to aeron but it is 6-8 times of its price)
Durability - 8/10 (all parts are in good quality for its price, seems really sturdy. Some owners complain about the armrest being wobbly, for me it is tolerable since it will not wobble if you are leaning on it)
Aesthetics - 9/10(i liked the white frame and grey mesh color)

My wife bought me this and i must say it's very great. I never had the problem of any noise or creaks in my unit by the way, mine is very sturdy to be honest.

Using this chair for 3 months now, the only issue in my case is the arm rest is rattling but its tolerable i guess. Still a bang to your budget chair. 😁

I got mine some months ago. I was able to assemble it on my own and I am a tiny girl. Mine does not creak like that even after months of daily use. But I agree with the headrest. So I bought a neck pillow you attach on the headrest stem that matches the color scheme and it worked for me. But I only bought it because I am short and my neck doesn’t even reach the headrest. But I absolutely love mine. My hip stopped hurting since I got this chair.

I bought Sihoo M57 online due to its popular recommendations and because I wanted to switch from a gaming chair to an ergo chair. I agree with the headrest part as I keep on adjusting it too. Another thing to note is that if you like to Indian sit on chairs, then this is NOT the right chair for you. The frames on the side will strain your foot. I had to use a seat cushion so that I can continue Indian sitting on the chair.

I am not against M57, it still has good lumbar support compared to my previous one. I guess my real recommendation here is that you need to actually TEST/SIT before buying, because not everything that has a positive review on the internet is actually good for you. I have my own Sihoo M57 same design as yours and I don't have any problems. No squeaking sound when you sit or stand. It's like a premium chair at an affordable price. When I say SULIT...SULIT talaga. a good buy. Don't be fooled sa mga fake leather chairs specially yung pang gaming. Kung may budget kayo go for Secret Lab agad if wala go for Sihoo M57. The only con I have for this chair eh yung hindi ka maka indian sit unlike my previous cheap chair. :D

Excited for the full chair review. Been eyeing this chair for a month now, but I can't part ways with at least 8500 pesos without trying the chair myself. But this pandemic had us all locked in our houses and thus not being able to try the chair before purchase
