This really changed my perspective on this - Jesus' sacrifice is self inflicted. Since jesus died after millions of humans already lived their lives, its like thousands of trains just fell into the river before he gave his life. And god could've just said "you guys are forgiven now" without killing his son, especially if he knew his son would die, but he didn't because it's really important that we view him as a victim. God is great

My dad told me this story as a kid and I was waiting for a bridge and watched this and now I just want to see my kids 😭

The left out the resurrection of that son though so although Jesus died He rose again from the grave after 3 days

Horrible theology - makes God look like he had a moral crisis and was forced to make a terrible choice, instead of being sovereign and watching his pre-ordained plan unfold.
