It's actually the Screwball Serve. Banana Serve would be the opposite direction.

That's a sidespin serve. All spin serves are banana serve, just a matter of which direction the ball curves.

People don't understand you can just push that ball back if you wait an extra millisecond the ball loses a lot of spin. Just hit it back don't try to spin it back.

That’s how I serve also and return the ball I never knew they had a name for it..I think your friend just not that good or just playing around… can you serve that way in a tournament?
