We're all laughing at the notion of a B*50 ITX board costing 90$, but I'd like to remind everyone that my ITX B350 cost 70 and is still rocking my 5800x3d daily.

Steves love for B650 grows every day, now he can't contain himself so he tries offbrand boards just to satiate that need for new B650 board

I’m remember when 90 bucks for a motherboard was if not high end at least mid range. And 40-50 bucks was low end. I’m glad to see reviews for cheaper options but I personally don’t buy computer parts on aliexpress as I prefer to have proper EU warranty. It’s good you mentioned fan headers. I’ve noticed that when buying budget boards the lack of fan headers makes cooling difficult. Like on my H610 motherboard for my 12400F.

I took a look at that exact board a few months back and was very impressed with it for an APU build! Honestly better than I thought. And it could handle an undervolted R7 7800X3D too!

Did not expect you to test JGINYUE, lol. The board is selling for 663 yuan (~91 USD) here in China, so you got a pretty good price, Steve

For those who already have this board, or that are on the fence about getting one: There is a new bios with 1.2.0.0a AGESA support, and Ryzen 9000 series support. Changes I could see so far: added a vdroop load calibration option, and now I can go up to 6000MHz on the ram, albeit not at CL30 (CL34 works with 1.35v), and before I couldn't get past 4800Mhz, no matter what I tried. For reference, I'm using a 7600X.

Some important information about this motherboard :
1) YOU NEED TO UPDATE THE BIOS BECAUSE OLDER BIOS VERSIONS HAVE BAD RAM SUPPORT!
2) No 3 pin fan support, they just work at 100% rpm all the time.
3) No profile saving in bios.
4) Ram overcloking is complicated due to some timings are in hex and no profile saving is possible. Anything above 6000 Mhz is complicated.

This is what happens when Steve gets benchmarking blocked by AMD delaying a launch, he'll benchmark anything. What next benchmarks for the mk1 rock.

At first I wasn't to sure about this channel but it has proved time and time again to provide very handy info, Your motherboard tests have a massive impact to if I buy a motherboard or not, thank you very much Steve your a Top guy, along with many other reviewers on youtube but your reviews are among the top that do help my buying choices, the VRM details you provide are one of the important factors to me having had a crapp Mobo in the past where they failed/burned out.

Paired with a 7500f, 32gb ddr5, rx6700xt and you're set with a sick budget 1440p gaming pc 💯

Afaik AMD mandated BIOS flashback support via USB for all B650 and up mainboards (don't know about A620 though) to avoid the exact problem of having to install an older CPU just to flash the BIOS as part of their commitment to platform longevity. Part of why AM5 became generally more expensive than AM4.

That board not having features mandated by AMD would be enough of a reason for me to steer clear of the manufacturer altogether.

Other than that I completely agree with Steve - AM4's history + AM5 being a well rounded platform is all the reason you need to get a good quality board and be happy with it for years to come. I might've overdone it a "little" with my X670E Taichi Carrara, but I do not regret it one bit. 😊

AM5 is a still a young platform with 1 gen so far, so it's worth investing in a decent board to ensure that it holds up until the platform fully matures and beyond even.

I am using this board personally as my 2nd rig. Managed to work on 7500f and 7800x3d. The RAM that works is Kingston Renegade 6400 CL32 and Adata Xpg Lancer Blade 6000 CL30, both were using SK Hynix chipset. so far no issue for almost 3 weeks
