Chloe, I 100% understand how you feel about going to events, being with friends, or having plans.

I have anticipatory anxiety. No matter what it is, it can be something amazing that I'm excited about, the anxiety leading up to it is overwhelming.

This just happened last week. I had to postpone a fall trip to next spring, because I was overwhelmed. It's not the trip or event that gives me the anxiety; it's the lead up to it that makes me anxious.

I also ADHD and there's a symptom called waiting mode that makes it more challenging.

I'm so proud of you for working through your anxiety and going. Your dad's support is amazing.

Thank you for sharing this video with us! I am about your parent’s age and I’ve also struggled with anxiety all of my life. Everything you said, I have also experienced. Especially when I am home a lot and not really talking to people, it’s much worse. I hope that you continue to find ways to manage it.
