I disagree with only one - Caring for your parents.
True, they should not be the top priority, but they should be "a priority" in your life.
Even the children will benefit immeasurably from regular contact with their grandparents.💕👏
Keep in touch with them on a regular basis, and see that their basic needs are met.
Most parents dedicated their lives to us. This is the least we can do for them In their golden years. Second and Third world cultures prioritize this commitment and devotion. They are far advanced over the American culture in this regard.
Respect for our ancestors builds character in each and every one of us when we practice this virtue.
🙏🥰👍🌹🌺😊👍🏽

Putting an end to people pleasing was one of the BEST and most important choice I have made in life. No more anxiety or worry about what people think about me. No more agreeing to do things I don't genuinely want to do, and taking time and energy from doing things that make sense for me and my goals. More energy for me to improve my life. I highly recommend anyone who struggles with people pleasing realize that what you get for making other people is nothing compared to what you get for putting your priorities and needs first.

My biggest financial mistake was being only 12 years ago during the 2008 financial crisis and nowhere near prepared enough to scoop up some cheap stocks and real estate maybe

Attention. If we pay attention to others we all will know who really cares about us and who doesn’t and if we pay close enough attention we can separate ourselves from the people who do not care and bring in those who care and who can help us and help each other in our journey’s together

That last point about paying attention to the way people say things is so true. I am a great example of this. I use harsh language that comes across negatively. From internal dialogue to conversations with friends, which I never noticed. I recently started ruminating on the way I talk about things and have been working to change my language.

Thank you Alux for what you do to help us all grow as people!

Once, after a lifetime of achievment, I told my son "you know, nobody has ever once asked to see my high school diploma". He said "Dad can I see your high school diploma?" 🤣 Having said that in my state High School advance placement scores are accepted at State Universities. All the other Honor Roll, National Honor Society and other Academic awards and medals my kids earned are still laying abandonded all over the house and the kids are off and gone having great careers and couldn't care less about all that stuff. They learned to put away childish things. Attention.

#10 - exactly. Academic awards or big name college is only useful until the graduation ceremony is over 15 minutes. Ivy league graduates sit next to State college graduates and GED recipients in this open office environment. All their salarys are determined by their assumed future potential and skills or a predetermined payscale, not the past.
*Attention*

Attention: I always believed in proving myself right, instead of proving others wrong. Thanks for the confirmation #Alux

Excellent video! Thanks for creating it. Love this -> "A life spent in the pursuit of other people's validation is a lost life!" Just as Confucius said, “What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others." 🚀Strive to THRIVE!

One of the best inspirational content. Alux explores the most grey areas and the unanswered questions in life. It throws very different perspectives among other motivational/inspirational content videos on YouTube. Keep up the spirit Alux.

Alux, I understand where you are coming from about toxic parents and that one should be aware of how they can entrap one in a parasitic situation.
Almost all of the major traditions around the world would posit that it is both a duty and an honour to care for one’s elderly parents.
Ivette your point though that if they are manipulative, bloodsucking deadbeats…….watch out!

ATTENTION! And THANK YOU for coming back Alux lady. I missed almost a week of fine content when I avoided your helper. She’s just boring and get me to fall asleep!

Speaking of cheap dopamine, I think most people seem to put a lot of worth into consuming entertainment. So what if I haven't seen "Friends" or the latest hottest series on Netflix? Or if I don't know the name of some actor/actress or singer? It doesn't really matter, and nobody should be made to feel stupid for not keeping up with certain entertainment. If anything, it shows that I spend time on other things than keeping myself entertained at all time.
