Dude, I agree. Terran aren't too strong initially, BUT if you let them grow properly with the proper and effective use of their units they can combat the other two races sufficiently. Plus Terran are more challenging to play as it takes more effort in strategizing their units, but are, as well, bountiful in the end.

@StormyDmaster you did not mention that toss will win EVERY game by gas rushing: take a geyser in opponent main and put a cannon on it (its nexus ability that only costs energy)
its auto gg
also swarm hosts are hard countered by void rays

@trbot you are right about that. but i dont think that the zerg just went mass roaches there. but maybe. but since voidray does bonus to armored it would still seem more reasonable to me to go mass speedling so voids cant charge up so well. maybe voids will only counter mass roach if you KNOW your opponent wont make anything different.

dunno. i would not recommend mass roach vs mass void ray. but youre right. take map and basetrade sounds reasonable.

With the firing rate of marines plus medivac support, he practically played his end game. Banshees are good for ground support anyway as well as worker harassment.

@trbot you can put arc shields on pylons and assimilators. (those are the 50 nexus energy cannons that 2 shot workers).
and void rays hard counter swarm hosts - easy as that. if you dont understand it (saying its ridiculous) i will explain it to your powerful mind: swarm hosts cannot attack air. void rays can attack ground. got it?
whats ridiculous is someone claiming, that massing a unit, that cant attack air, is auto win.

@StrajderVilinkameni yes, i would say that banelings counter marines. if the banes are controlled poorly or the marines are controlled supremely then what you described can happen. but you can at least force the marines to back off.
idra, as much as i admire his skill, often seems to try to go with his head through the wall. maybe he over-committed. maybe its was slow banes maybe its was off creep. if you just say "the game where TLO 7 raxed idra", its a guessing game.

@StrajderVilinkameni believe it or not - starcraft is alot about what is strong against what. those relations are called "counters".

if u ask most of terran player, they'll simply say "it's the only race that can be played with a starter ver". It'll also be my answer if u ask me.
And terran race is a bit unique. They're not so strong as protoss but not as weak as a zerg.
I think it's a very effective-focus race.

My frind is trying to convert me from Command and Conquer, ive always been a C&C fan since back on the nintendo64 and i enjoy watchin kanes wrath tourneys but i really am having trouble seeing this game appealing, it just doesnt feel like home, i hope actually playing motivates me more but i have my doubts... :(
