In this video I will tell you all how to fix the 4 beep oil alarm on my 2010 Nitro Z7 bass boat. When you're out tournament fishing this is the worst feeling to have knowing there is an oil issue. Its a VERY quick and easy fix especially if you're already on the water!

Brother this was a perfect video. My beeps happened over the weekend and my Merc mechanic is booked out three months. I'm going to try it and hopefully it will work.

Guess who's water ready after coming here to YouTube University. Thanks professor! Changed the reservoir and bled it just like you said.

All of this works fine but I think I'm going to have to replace the sending unit from the float. You can see the blue wires at 3:57 or the entire tank if the float inside it is bad. Thats a $200 kiss from Mercury.
Loosening the cap works great but I still get the 4 beeps so something with the oil is flagging trouble.
Will I need to have a dealer clear the codes after I do all of this ?
Also is there a strainer in the pickup tube in the big tank that I should check for blockage?

Is the hose the connects to the big tank suction a black hose with blue line?

A somewhat related question. Is there a seal or o ring for the sensor on the left? A friend is having a problem with that apparently leaking and causing beeping.

Done the same thing. No luck getting rid of the alarm. Changed the entire oil tank and it didn’t work either. Still getting the alarm

do you have to tight the cap again or let it that way after loose 2 or 3 times ?

When you add the oil do you have the engine running or is it off?

Is there a filter between the main and onboard reservoir tank? Thinking if this got clogged up it could reduce the amount of oil to this motor reservoir. Anyone??

my issue is that the two large tanks will not fill the reserve even after I open the knob to bleed it. any thoughts? Is there physical pump of some sort?

Any helpful videos of how to reset or delete codes from the computer to avoid having to take it to the shop to have it cleared out?
