Thank you so much! I had a day of cleaning my pc and I had to take the ram out to do it, now it being dual channel I just put it in thinking it was that easy. Later to find out I had beeps and no display, I followed the video and put one stick in at a time and found the correct order now she’s back up and running. Thanks

I got 6 beeps it was long i guess on my msi mobo. I removed my usb interfaced keyboard while booting it fixed the issue. But have to connect once pc boots

I got 1 long beep and 2 short beep. So my friend told me to remove the graphics card and put it back the right way. Remove both RAM and insert only one RAM (mine is 8gb) and then it works fine. Hope you guys did it too!

If someone still struggling and wondering why it hasnt turn on it probably because you’re cmos battery in your mobo is dead so i recommend to replace it.

You probably wondering how to check it? Tbh i dont know myself how to check it but this is what i do

First pull out all the psu cable and turn the psu off, then pullout the cmos battery (if you cant find it probably its beneath your gpu), after you pull it out press the power button a bunch of time while off, wait for 10 to 15 minute, then plug in the battery again and reassemble your pc, if it still off i dont know what else, probably something in you’re pc is not plug in properly try to tighten all component just in case.

If anyone wonders about what mas my problem, it was the thing I least expected..
After hours of trying everything and almost gave up that my GPU is dead, I swapped monitor cables after which I found out either DVI-D port on grapgics card is faulty (yesterday was working fine tho), or cable is faulty as monitor works just fine.. anyways, it could be someone is having the same issue so just try everything there is before you do heavy decisions.

I tried finally fixing it for myself (with not even a little bit of experience)
It was actually in a repair shop and they gave it back in a worse condition telling me that they can't fix it. So thank god i finally tried to do something with it after months just sitting on the gound.
Then i finally turned it on and I got the 1 long 2 short beeps, i will try to clean the video card, maybe the ram, will be trying something.

Hey my dude thank you for the help faulty CD drive on old school OptiPlex kept it form booting. Didnt have much luck with the beeps just started un hooking stuff and test booting it worked TYTY

What worked for me is DISCONNECTING the CD Drives which haven't been reading for a while. Its not necessary to have them UNPLUGGED if they are working UNLESS you had set BIOS to Boot the CD DRIVES first. Which was my problem. I took out the Video Card AND cleaned the contacts CAREFULLY with an eraser. I had a Display then. Also try to switch the the other HDMI port while your there to see if it even works. I need a NEW computer SO bad 😂. Ive kept this one running for like 15-16 years ONLY had to replace Power Supply ONCE. It occurred to me that HEAT is the NUMBER 1 killer of ELectronics, so i buy a 12 inch fans, took the SIDE off. This was all I have to do is dust it with a Duster, or Hair Dryer, OR Air bed inflator.

It happens to me, but it beep short continuesly while my PC run and freeze, but then I try unplugged HDD, turn off via PC casing, turn it on again, it start and run normally, but after I watch the UEFI bios chart I think it's PSU problem.

Bro. I have a Quest about the AMI one short Beep.
Some people told me one beep mean " DRam refresh Failure. replace".
The AMI one short beep sound diferent (diferent frecuency) like others (2 beeps, 3 beeps, etc). What realy mean AMI one short beep?. Thanks a lot.
