For me in this song Dave still gives the song what it needs. I love how dave separates his playing. He keeps the frusciante vibes on rhcp songs (with john) (one great example is this video) and go play his own style in ohm songs. He is the type of guitarist that gives a song what stylee it need. One Hot Minute is easily one thier best records - when john does something like that people freak and say he is amazing (which is true) but Dave could do this in his sleep all night long, the guitar playing on OHM was incredible... I hope the new chili pepper record has some of the old energy in it this time...
