Known as "the best friend a song ever had" the awesome Conway Twitty. He has many great songs and was a stellar singer/performer. You should listen to "Fifteen Years Ago" "Tight Fittin' Jeans" and "You've Never Been This Far Before". He also has tons of great duets with Loretta Lynn.

Conway Twitty was such an awesome contribution to country music. I had a dog named Conway Twitty when I was 5yo...named him myself haha.

Saw Conway with my Mom a few times in the Albany NY area. One time he was touring with George and Loretta and another with Vince Gill. As with so many of the great ones he passed much too young. He truly was a songs best friend.

I saw him in concert many years ago. It was a good concert. I don't know why he never got the recognition that he deserved. He said it didn't bother him . He didn't hang around with the big wigs like a lot of country music singers did. I know he was friendly with his fans. Conway is my favorite male country singer. . I was glad I got to see him in concert..I was upset when I heard he passed away. I miss you Conway. God bless you.

I truly miss Conway. I have several of his songs on my playlist that I listen to every day. I only got to see him one time in concert but wow, what a concert it was . RIP Conway

Love Conway, a true legend in Country music, nobody like him, never will be. Another one you should check out is his duet with Sam Moore, Rainy night in Georgia, is GREAT

Man, this may very well be my favorite reaction video you’ve ever done. I discovered this song when Blake Shelton covered it 10+ years ago. Conway’s blowing the roof off with this version, though. He started off as a rocker in 50s, and I think that clips like this show that he still had some rock and roll in his blood. Lol 👍🏼

Conway never sang a bad song. I sure do miss him & Loretta Lynn. They are my favorite duet team!

I saw Conway numerous times.
"Its only Make Believe" was his mega biggie.
He used to pair up with Loretta Lynn. Those were good clean talented entertainers.
"Lousiana Woman Mississippi Man" was their big duet.

That’s My Job always gets me in tears. Just beautiful, especially the way Conway sings it. I also agree with you about today’s “country” music, it just isn’t the same, although there were lots of great artists that didn’t come along until the ‘90’s and later, so don’t write those decades off.

Conway has sooo many hits. He was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins and lived at Twitty City in Hendersonville, TN. He collapsed on his tour bus in Branson, Missouri and died in June, 1993 of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
