As the game progresses, the suit becomes harder to take off. The qte will go to four button presses instead of 2, and then add in a button mash sequence. I love this mechanic since it shows how much the suit is bonded to you. You can even see peter screaming and writhing in pain as he takes it off. Also, if you wear the black suit for too long in the final missions you have it, which is about 2 real life hours, peter will collapse and you get a game over

I love those details, Spidey is also maxed out in his black suite mode, you have max health, max damage, and no adrenaline bar you can use. The punches sound heavier, like they thunder, he hits faster, his moveset completely changes the animations, which are more brutal and aggressive. There is also a part in the game where you can keep the suite on without having to remove it, you can by that be OP asf and clear the entire city and do all the missions. It is when Peter decides to take off the suite for good.

Sheesh.. I can't remember how much time I spend on this Game when I was a kid, but seeing it again makes me happy.
Also, the further you go in the story, the "mini-game" to remove the black suit will get longer and Peter will have a harder time removing the symbiote

In the PS2 and Wii version you have different attack animations when using the black suit, are more brutal animations. This game is amazing, it has more details than the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC version

This what changed Spider-Man forever and even the sounds it makes too which is out of the movie

Man I used to love this game so much, it's so weird, for some reason I remember the graphics to be much better

I hope Spider-Man 2’s symbiotic interactions are even remotely similar to this game’s. Being able to transform into the black suit, and enhance swing speed, jump height, running speed, strength, etc. here’s hoping for the best. At the very least, surely they’ll give us a black suit cosmetic.

There is a minor difference between the PS2 version

On PS2, the effects are better and you can see the symbiote sticking together if you didn't press any of the buttons. There is no such effect on the PSP

I never played the PS3 Version. Only the PS2. Man that Sewer part was crazy. I wish I could play it again. I don't remember the Bell Tower part tho. The music is so good tho.

It was also fully upgraded in everything because back then I didn't remember to upgrade the red suit I only did 3 attacks and wondered why the black suit has several it literally was better in every way which is exactly how the symbiote should feel

That's why I like ps2 & psp versions becuz u will get extra health & more powerful to defeat a bunch of bigger & taller bad guys with more health easily after u get the black suit & u can take the black suit off & change back to red suit anytime like spider-man:web of shadows but only in between of the mission which u wear the black suit for the first time & help the cops to defeat the thugs & the mission which u defeat sandman in the underground subway tracks

Lo cierto es que era un gran acierto el hecho de poder cambiarse al traje negro y las consecuencias. Cuando llevabas mucho tiempo con el traje negro, la ciudad cada vez se convertía en una ciudad más descuidada y oscura. Es un detalle que me hubiera encantado ver en la versión del juego de PS3 o PC.

I like and Don't like this little QTE to remove the Symbionte because it is cool but i also feel like it's a thing like "ops timeout need to get the suit off before i'm screwed". Because you NEED to remove the Suit from time to time otherwise Peter will colapse on the ground and it's game over.
