I hate that they extended the duration of Daylight Savings Time. It used to begin the first Sunday in April and end the last Sunday in October, but as of 2007, Daylight Savings Time begins the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November

AZ is the only state that seems to have common sense.

Trump promised he was going to end DST, so what happened?

While I am in favor of standard time, I think I could live with either option. It's the changing back and forth that I hate. You can't please everyone, so I wish congress would just make a decision and make one or the other permanent.

Personally I hate it. Always have, always will. My system just does not like losing that hour of sleep.

If we make standard time permanent, half the people will Scream " I hate permanent Standard time, I miss my late bright summer evenings...If we make DST permanent, the other half will scream " I hate permanent DST, I hate cold dark winter mornings" This is precisely why we keep changing the clocks

Just pick one or the other & stay with it!

The Congress should let the states decide, and stop talking so much about it

Daylight savings is pointless! Why would we want more darkness when the seasons do it for us? Gain an hour, lose an hour.. Ridiculous!

Generations will look back and say these were the stupidest people ever. Fighting over an hour change as though they had the power to actually change time. 🤦

I think the main disadvantage of daylight saving time is that while we do get more daylight time in the evening, however we get less daylight time in the morning. So when most people need to wake up at 5 or 6:00AM to get ready for work, it will still be dark outside and someone without a strict schedule may tend to wake up later during DST. What we could do is stay on standard time and just simply say that if anyone wants to make more use of the longer daylight time during the spring and summer for their activities, they can just simply start their day one hour earlier or adjust their schedule accodingly to accomidate more daylight time.

What's more extreme a 3:38 a.m. sunrise or a 10:05 p.m. sunset? With permanent standard time Mars Hill, Maine would have the earliest sunrise in the contiguous US with the Sun coming up at 3:38 am while Fortuna, North Dakota would have the latest sunset during permanent DST with the sun setting at 10:05 p.m.

I bike in the summer and ski in the winter. DST is great! When I was working I could go for longer evening rides and when we fall back the time change matches ski hill operations (ya, they could adjust the hours). I’m pretty sure we as a species can adjust to an hour difference in our sleep patterns a couple times a year. If not, how on earth would we travel east or west? If you can’t “handle” the time change you had better stay at home for the rest of your lives! Nor get up early a couple times a week for sports, or a project at work, or to shovel the driveway for an elderly neighbour before they wake up….. just saying it is NO BIG DEAL!

Yes, it is worth it. It’s something cool. But like the thinking of today, if anything is cool in any way shape or form, get rid of it or digitize it. I can’t believe that a grown adult can’t adjust to a simple hour time change. Can’t get up for work, needing tips from the news on how to adjust. Sad.

just standard time - can't change time - it's unnatural n too much work - just tell people to come an hour earlier or later
